Product Description

The WALTER 5886293 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI/ISO designation ADMT160608R-D56 in manufacturer grade WKP35S. It is a parallelogram-shaped, single-sided insert with a positive rake angle of 10 degrees and a 15-degree relief angle, designed for indexable milling cutters used in metalworking operations. The insert features a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN/Al2O3/TiCN for wear resistance and thermal stability during cuts in steel and cast iron. Holding is via screw clamp, and the cutting edge is honed with a right-hand orientation. Two cutting edges are available per insert.

This insert is suited for milling steel and cast iron workpieces in both roughing and semi-finishing applications. It is compatible with WALTER cutter series F2010, F4042, and F4238 as specified by the manufacturer. The D56 chip breaker geometry manages chip evacuation during face and shoulder milling operations.
