The WALTER 5833924 is a replaceable drill tip designed for indexable drilling systems in demanding metalworking applications. Built from solid carbide with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, this insert delivers consistent cutting performance in difficult-to-machine materials. The tip measures 0.7656 inches (19.00 mm) in cutting diameter and features a 140-degree point angle with a regular helical flute geometry. It is held in place by a clamp mechanism and fits an Insert Seat Size D body. Machining professionals working with high-performance drilling toolholders will find this tip suited for production environments where tool life and edge retention are critical.
This drill tip is engineered primarily for superalloys and titanium (ISO material code S), with secondary suitability for steel and stainless steel (ISO material codes P and M). It belongs to the P6003 series and carries ISO number P6003-D19,43R WMP35. Typical install scenarios include CNC machining centers and turning centers where replaceable-tip drills reduce changeover time and maintain consistent hole quality across runs. This tip does not include coolant-through capability, so external coolant or air blast is recommended when thermal management is a concern.
Designed for use with P6003-series indexable drill bodies requiring an Insert Seat Size D and compatible with ISO number P6003-D19,43R WMP35 as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and tip changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and the spindle locked. Use the appropriate torx or clamp key specified for the drill body to seat the tip securely before resuming operation. Do not exceed the recommended feed and speed parameters for the WMP35 grade, particularly when machining titanium or superalloys, as overloading the cutting edge will cause premature failure. Inspect the insert seat for debris or damage before each tip change to ensure accurate seating.
