The WALTER 5204755 is a right-hand E-SCLC indexable boring bar designed for internal turning and bore finishing operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. Built with a solid carbide shank and steel head, it delivers the rigidity and vibration resistance required for accurate, repeatable bore work. The bar accepts CC.. 0602.. and CC.. 21.5.. diamond-shaped inserts held by screw clamping, with a neutral rake geometry and a 95-degree lead angle. Through-coolant capability directs fluid directly to the cutting zone, supporting chip evacuation and tool life in demanding bore applications. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in precision metalworking environments are the primary installers of this toolholder.
This boring bar is suited for both roughing and finishing passes in small-diameter bores, with a minimum bore diameter of 15.19mm (0.5980 inches). The 0.5000-inch shank diameter fits standard tool turrets and boring bar holders on CNC turning centers. At 203.2mm (8.0000 inches) overall length, it provides reach for moderate-depth bore applications in production and job-shop settings. The Walter Turn series designation places this bar within a coordinated system of turning and boring toolholders engineered to ANSI and ISO standards.
Compatible with CC.. 0602.. and CC.. 21.5.. diamond-shaped inserts with a 1/4-inch (6.35mm) inscribed circle and 3/32-inch (2.38mm) thickness. Insert size codes 0602 and 21.5 apply. Designed as a right-hand cutting toolholder within the Walter Turn series.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before installing or indexing inserts. Verify that the through-coolant supply line is connected and unobstructed before running the tool. Confirm shank clamping torque and overhang length per the machine manufacturer and toolholder documentation before beginning a cut.
