The WALTER 5006873 is a countersunk-head cap screw designed to secure indexable inserts in precision toolholders used for boring, drilling, and face mill cutter applications. Featuring a T7 Torx drive and M2.2 thread size, this flat-point screw provides reliable clamping force without damaging insert seating surfaces. The overall length is 0.2165 inches (5.50 mm). Installation requires the FS309 key driver. This screw is a consumable hardware component routinely replaced by machinists and toolroom technicians maintaining indexable cutting tool assemblies.
The 5006873 cap screw is intended for use with Walter Boring and Walter Stardrill series toolholders in production machining environments. It is compatible with B3212, B3213, B3214, B3220, and B3221 toolholder styles and seats a range of CCGT and CPGT series indexable inserts with inscribed circle sizes of 0.219 inches and 0.250 inches. Typical applications include CNC turning centers, boring bars, and drill bodies where precise insert retention is critical to surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
Compatible with B3212, B3213, B3214, B3220, and B3221 toolholders in the Walter Boring and Walter Stardrill series. Accepts the following indexable inserts: CCGT 060204-PM2, CCGT 060208-PM2, CCGT 21.51 PM2, CCGT 21.52 PM2, CCGT060201-PF2, CCGT060201-PM2, CCGT060202-PF2, CCGT060202-PM2, CCGT060204-PF2, CCGT060204-PM2, CCGT21.50-PF2, CCGT21.50.5-PF2, CCGT21.50.5-PM2, CPGT 050204-PF1, CPGT 050208-PF1, and CCGT 06020. Requires FS309 key driver for installation.
Installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before accessing the toolholder. Use only the specified FS309 Torx key driver to avoid stripping the T7 socket. Do not reuse visibly damaged or deformed screws, as compromised clamping integrity can result in insert ejection during cutting.
