The w-hdvb202e is a passive HD video balun transceiver designed for use with HD-CVI, HD-TVI, and AHD analog HD camera systems. Operating without external power, it converts coaxial video signals to run over a single twisted pair of UTP cable, extending transmission distances well beyond standard coax runs. With 60 dB of crosstalk and noise immunity, it delivers strong interference rejection in environments with heavy electrical activity. This unit is installed by security and low-voltage technicians during camera system deployments or upgrades where running new coaxial cable is impractical.
The w-hdvb202e suits residential and commercial CCTV installations where existing structured wiring or CAT-style cable is already in place. It supports HD-CVI 720P signals up to 400 meters, HD-CVI 1080P and HD-TVI 720P and 1080P signals up to 250 meters, AHD 720P signals up to 350 meters, and AHD 1080P signals up to 200 meters. It is well suited for retrofit projects replacing older analog systems with tribrid or HD analog DVR setups without requiring full rewiring.
Compatible with HD-TVI, HD-CVI, and AHD camera and DVR systems. Designed as a passive balun replacement for tribrid and HD analog video surveillance installations using twisted-pair cabling.
Installation is typically performed by licensed low-voltage or security technicians. Power down the DVR and disconnect camera feeds before connecting balun terminals to avoid signal damage. Use a matching balun at both the camera end and the DVR end for proper signal transmission. Follow local low-voltage wiring codes and manufacturer guidelines for maximum cable run distances based on resolution and signal format.
