The VYBOND 330X4 is a wide-format aluminum foil tape engineered for demanding HVAC sealing and insulation work where a narrow tape will not provide sufficient seam coverage. The tape measures 4 inches wide and 50 yards long per roll, with a total thickness of 3.5 mil. A high-performance acrylic adhesive delivers adhesion near 60 oz per inch to steel and maintains a reliable bond across an operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 350 degrees F. HVAC technicians and insulation installers reach for this tape when sealing wide duct joints, rigid board insulation seams, and flexible duct connections in both new construction and retrofit work.
This tape is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC installations where extreme temperature cycling, cold-weather application, or high-heat environments would cause standard foil tapes to fail or delaminate. The 4-inch width allows a single pass to cover wide seams on duct board, sheet metal ductwork, and wrapped insulation without overlapping multiple strips. One roll is included per unit. It is a common choice for attic and crawl space ductwork where temperature swings are severe and long-term adhesion is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement foil tape for use on residential and commercial HVAC ductwork, rigid and flexible duct insulation seams, and sheet metal applications requiring wide-format sealing coverage.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians and insulation contractors. De-energize the air handling system and allow ductwork to reach ambient temperature before applying tape, as adhesion is reduced on surfaces that are very cold or wet. Clean and dry the seam surface before application to ensure full adhesive contact. Follow local mechanical codes, including SMACNA standards, for duct sealing requirements in your jurisdiction.
