The VNE V2WC3.0 is a sanitary-grade 90-degree pipe elbow designed for hygienic fluid processing and transfer systems. Constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel, it features butt weld end connections on both sides for a smooth, crevice-free joint that meets sanitary system requirements. At 3 inches in size, this elbow is suited for mid- to large-diameter sanitary lines where directional changes are required. It carries 3A, ASME, FISA, ISPE, and WCMA certifications, making it appropriate for food and beverage processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, and similar regulated industries. Licensed pipe fitters and sanitary system installers are the typical end users for this fitting.
This elbow is used in sanitary piping systems that require cleanable, weld-in fittings without mechanical joints or crevices that could harbor contaminants. Typical installations include product transfer lines in food processing plants, breweries, dairies, and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. The butt weld connection type requires orbital or manual TIG welding during installation, making it a permanent, high-integrity joint. It is well-suited for both new construction and retrofit applications in regulated process environments.
Designed as an OEM-style sanitary fitting for use in 3-inch butt weld stainless steel process piping systems that require compliance with 3A, ASME, FISA, ISPE, or WCMA standards.
Installation requires a qualified pipe fitter or welder experienced with sanitary TIG welding procedures. Shut down and depressurize the process line completely before cutting in or replacing any fitting. Weld joints must be completed to sanitary standards to preserve surface finish and avoid contamination points inside the pipe. Post-weld passivation or cleaning may be required depending on the facility's hygiene protocols and applicable codes.
