The VNE EG14AM7-6L1.5 is a sanitary stainless steel welding ferrule designed for hygienic piping systems where cleanliness, corrosion resistance, and leak-free connections are critical. Sized at 1-1/2 inches and manufactured from 316/316L stainless steel, this ferrule features a tube OD end connection on one end and a clamp-style connection on the other. It is welded permanently into a pipeline to create a secure, sanitary coupling point that accepts standard clamp fittings. Fabricators, pipefitters, and sanitary process technicians install this fitting where repeatable, cleanable connections are required. It carries 3A, ASME, FISA, ISPE, and WCMA certifications, confirming it meets strict sanitary and pressure standards.
This ferrule is used in sanitary fluid-handling systems across food and beverage processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, and biotech applications. It is welded in-line or at equipment nozzles to create a clamp connection point, allowing downstream fittings, valves, and sensors to be removed for cleaning and reassembly without disturbing the permanent weld. Typical installations include process piping, CIP circuits, and sanitary skid fabrication. The 316/316L dual-grade material is well suited for both standard service and post-weld applications where sensitization is a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style sanitary welding ferrule for 1-1/2 inch tube OD clamp-connection piping systems meeting 3A and ASME sanitary standards.
Installation requires orbital or manual TIG welding by a qualified pipefitter or sanitary fabricator following applicable ASME BPE or 3A sanitary welding procedures. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting into any existing line. After welding, inspect the weld bead for full penetration and a smooth interior surface to preserve cleanability. Post-weld passivation is recommended to restore corrosion resistance, particularly in aggressive process environments.
