The VLIER SL375P is a knob handle spring plunger designed for indexing, positioning, and light-duty locking applications in mechanical assemblies. It features a 3/8-16 thread with a 0.75 inch thread length and a knurled knob head for manual actuation without tools. The plunger is non-locking and generates 1 pound of initial end force rising to 8 pounds of final end force, making it well suited for repeatable detent positioning where controlled resistance is needed. Constructed from steel with a zinc gold chromate finish, this plunger is installed by maintenance technicians, machine builders, and industrial assemblers working on fixtures, jigs, and mechanical positioning systems.
The SL375P is used in industrial and commercial applications where a threaded body spring plunger is required for panel assemblies, fixture plates, tooling bodies, or equipment enclosures. The knurled knob handle allows fast hand adjustment in setups that require frequent plunger engagement and release without a driver or wrench. Its compact body length of 0.94 inches suits installations in tight or recessed housings where overall profile matters. This part is sold individually and is appropriate for both original equipment builds and field replacement of worn or damaged spring plungers in existing assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation spring plunger for threaded assemblies requiring a 3/8-16 knob handle style plunger with non-locking action.
Spring plungers are typically installed by machine builders, tool and die technicians, or maintenance mechanics using standard hand tools. De-energize or lock out any powered equipment before servicing assemblies containing this plunger. Thread the body into the prepared 3/8-16 tapped hole and torque to the assembly specification for the host material. Do not overtighten, as this can restrict plunger travel or damage the threaded bore.
