The VLIER P306 is a steel toggle pad designed to provide a stable, low-profile contact point in toggle clamp assemblies and fixturing applications. It features a 1/2-13 UNC thread, a pad diameter of 7/8 inches, and an overall length of 15/16 inches. The swivel angle of 15 degrees allows the pad face to self-align against angled or irregular workpiece surfaces, distributing clamping force more evenly. The zinc plated gold chromate finish provides corrosion resistance for use in industrial shop environments. The pad bottom is uncoated, and the width across flats measures 3/4 inches for standard wrench installation.
This toggle pad is used in production fixturing, welding positioners, and machining setups where a threaded clamp spindle requires a swivel contact foot. The 15-degree swivel accommodates workpieces that are not perfectly flat or perpendicular to the clamp axis, making it well suited for angled surfaces and non-uniform parts. It is a common component in manual toggle clamp configurations found on fixture plates and jig assemblies in manufacturing and fabrication operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard component for toggle clamp assemblies and fixturing spindles using 1/2-13 UNC threaded connections.
Installation is typically performed by maintenance technicians or tool and die personnel using a standard open-end or combination wrench sized to the 3/4 inch width across flats. Thread the pad onto the clamp spindle by hand first to avoid cross-threading, then snug with a wrench. Verify the swivel moves freely after installation and that the pad seats flush against the intended contact surface before applying full clamping force.
