The VLIER HH1015 is a long threaded spring plunger designed for precise, repeatable positioning in industrial tooling, fixtures, and mechanical assemblies. The unit features a steel body and steel nose, a 1/8 thread size with a 2-inch thread length, and a 0.5-inch maximum plunger diameter. It delivers an initial end force of 16 pounds and a final end force of 68 pounds, making it well suited for applications that require firm, consistent resistance. A built-in locking element secures the plunger at the desired engagement depth once installed. Licensed machinists, toolmakers, and mechanical assembly technicians typically install this component.
This spring plunger is used in jigs, fixtures, machine tools, and positioning assemblies across light and heavy industrial environments. The long plunger configuration - with a 7-inch plunger length and 1.5-inch projection - is selected when extra reach or standoff is needed relative to the threaded body. The 5-inch body length and 0.844-inch body diameter allow installation into standard threaded bores on tooling plates, fixture bases, and mechanical housings. The 1/2-inch hex size allows tightening and removal with a standard wrench.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation threaded spring plunger for industrial fixtures, jigs, and machine tool assemblies that accept a 1/8 thread size with a 2-inch thread length and 0.844-inch body diameter.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or mechanical assembly technicians using a standard wrench on the 1/2-inch hex. Ensure the receiving bore is clean, correctly threaded, and free of debris before threading in the plunger body. Do not overtighten - secure firmly to the locking element specification and verify plunger movement is smooth and unobstructed after installation. De-energize or lock out any machine or fixture before servicing or replacing spring plungers in active assemblies.
