The VICTOR 12301300 is a tapered, self-insulated gas nozzle designed for MIG welding applications. Mounted at the end of the MIG gun, the nozzle directs shielding gas flow over the weld puddle to protect it from atmospheric contamination. This nozzle accommodates wire up to 3/8 inch (9.50 mm) outside diameter, making it suitable for a range of common MIG wire sizes. It is sold as a single unit and is a standard replacement consumable installed by welders and fabrication technicians during routine gun maintenance or after nozzle wear and spatter buildup.
This nozzle is intended for use with No. 2 and No. 4 MIG guns. It fits into typical MIG welding setups found in fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and light industrial environments. The tapered profile aids in accessing tighter joint geometries, and the self-insulated construction reduces the risk of shorting against the workpiece or gun body during operation. Replacement of worn or spatter-clogged nozzles is a routine task in any active MIG welding environment.
Designed for use with No. 2 and No. 4 MIG guns as specified in the manufacturer product data.
Installation is performed by welders or fabrication technicians as part of routine MIG gun maintenance. Always disconnect the welder from its power source and allow the gun to cool completely before removing or installing a nozzle. Thread or press the nozzle into position per the gun manufacturer's procedure, ensuring a secure fit to maintain proper gas flow geometry. Inspect the contact tip and liner while the nozzle is off, as these consumables typically wear on a similar cycle.
