The VICTOR 1000-0263 is a medium-duty flowmeter regulator designed for shielding gas flow measurement and control in MIG and TIG welding applications. Based on the Victor FM 157 platform, this unit delivers a flow range of 15 to 65 SCFH for argon and 40 to 200 SCFH for helium, making it suitable for a wide range of welding procedures. The inlet is rated at 25 psig and accepts a 1/4 inch NPT male fitting. The outlet uses a 5/8 inch-18 RH female fitting. The flow tube and outer tube are constructed from impact-resistant Lexan polycarbonate, and the cover tube incorporates built-in overpressure protection. Licensed welders and fabricators install this unit directly at the cylinder or manifold.
This flowmeter regulator is suited for industrial fabrication, light fabrication, structural steel fabrication, and repair and maintenance environments. Its pressure-compensated design supports low-surge flow requirements, making it a reliable choice for shops running argon or helium shielding gas for GMAW and GTAW processes. The dual-range calibration allows technicians to switch between gas types without swapping equipment, reducing downtime at the weld station.
Designed for use with argon and helium shielding gases in medium-duty MIG and TIG welding setups across industrial fabrication, light fabrication, structural steel fabrication, and repair and maintenance applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding professional or pipefitter familiar with compressed gas equipment. Shut off the cylinder valve and relieve all line pressure before connecting or disconnecting the regulator. Ensure fittings are hand-tightened first, then secured with an appropriate wrench — do not overtighten Lexan components. Verify all connections for leaks using an approved leak-detection solution before initiating gas flow.
