The VICTOR 1000-0261 is a medium-duty flowmeter regulator designed to measure and control shielding gas flow for MIG and TIG welding applications. Based on the FM 137 platform, it handles two gas types: argon with a flow range of 15 to 65 SCFH and helium with a flow range of 40 to 200 SCFH. The regulator operates at a 25 psig inlet pressure and connects via a 9/16-18 inches RH(F) inlet fitting and a 5/8-18 inches RH(F) outlet fitting. The flow tube and outer tube are constructed from impact-resistant Lexan, and the cover tube includes built-in overpressure protection. Licensed welding professionals and industrial fabricators install this unit in wire-feed and TIG torch setups.
This flowmeter regulator is suited for industrial and general fabrication, light fabrication, structural steel fabrication, and repair and maintenance work. Its pressure-compensated design minimizes flow surges, making it appropriate for applications where consistent shielding gas delivery is critical. The dual-range calibration makes it a versatile bench or cart-mounted tool in shops that run both argon and helium shielding gases without switching equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style medium-duty flowmeter regulator for use with argon and helium shielding gas cylinders in MIG and TIG welding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding professional or gas systems technician. Always close the cylinder valve and bleed downstream pressure before connecting or disconnecting the regulator. Use appropriate thread sealant approved for oxygen-free gas service and avoid over-tightening the inlet fitting. Verify all connections for leaks before initiating gas flow.
