The VICTOR 1000-0257 is a medium-duty, two-gas calibration flowmeter regulator designed for argon and helium shielding gas applications in MIG and TIG welding. It delivers a flow range of 4 to 18 SCFH for argon and 10 to 50 SCFH for helium, operating at a 25 psig inlet pressure. The inlet fitting is 1/4 inch NPT male and the outlet fitting is 5/8 inch-18 RH female. The flow tube and outer tube are constructed from impact-resistant Lexan polycarbonate, making this unit suitable for demanding shop and field environments. Licensed welders and fabricators install this regulator directly at the cylinder or manifold supply point.
This flowmeter regulator is suited for industrial fabrication, light fabrication, structural steel fabrication, and repair and maintenance operations. It is pressure compensated for low surge requirements, which helps maintain stable shielding gas delivery during short-arc and spray transfer MIG processes as well as high-frequency TIG starts. The cover tube incorporates overpressure protection to guard against surge damage during cylinder valve opening. Typical installation locations include weld cells, portable carts, and field repair rigs where argon or helium shielding is required.

This regulator is installed by qualified welders or gas system technicians. Always close the cylinder valve and bleed downstream pressure before connecting or disconnecting the regulator. Inspect the inlet fitting and cylinder valve seat for debris before threading on the regulator. Follow applicable compressed gas handling guidelines and local shop safety codes when placing this unit into service.
