The VICTOR 0781-3509 is an inert gas welding regulator designed to control and deliver gas pressure for welding and cutting applications. It features a CGA 580 inlet connection with a female fitting and a maximum inlet pressure of 80 psi. The right-hand rotation design follows standard regulator convention. This regulator is installed on inert gas cylinders to provide a steady, controlled output pressure to the welding torch or equipment. It is handled by professional welders, pipefitters, and fabrication technicians working with inert shielding gases.
This regulator is suited for use with inert gases such as argon and argon-blend cylinders that use the CGA 580 valve outlet standard. Typical applications include MIG and TIG welding setups in fabrication shops, field welding operations, and industrial maintenance environments. The CGA 580 connection is a widely adopted standard for non-flammable, non-oxidizing compressed gas cylinders, making this regulator appropriate for a broad range of inert shielding gas service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit regulator for inert gas welding systems using CGA 580 cylinder valve outlets, including argon and argon-blend shielding gas cylinders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welder or gas equipment technician familiar with compressed gas regulator service. Always close the cylinder valve and bleed residual pressure from the regulator before attaching or removing the unit. Use an appropriate wrench on the inlet fitting nut — do not use pipe dope, thread tape, or lubricants on CGA regulator connections, as these can create hazardous conditions. Refer to CGA Pamphlet E-4 and applicable facility safety procedures for compressed gas handling guidelines.
