The VERMONT GAGE 911243800 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage designed for NoGo inspection work in precision measurement applications. The gage measures 0.4380 inches in diameter with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for verifying that a hole or bore does not fall below the acceptable minimum size. The overall length is 2 inches. Constructed from steel with a black oxide coating, it provides corrosion resistance and durability during repeated use. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST standards, confirming that the gage meets Class ZZ dimensional requirements right out of the box.
This plug pin gage is used in precision quality control and inspection environments where NoGo gauging is required. Typical applications include setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices, as well as inline and receiving inspection of machined bores, drilled holes, and reamed features. It is appropriate for tool rooms, production floors, and inspection departments in manufacturing, machining, and fabrication settings where dimensional accuracy is a critical requirement.
Designed as a NoGo plug pin gage for use with standard go/nogo gauging systems, bore inspection setups, and precision measuring instruments requiring a 0.4380 inch reference diameter.
Plug pin gages are handled and used by quality control technicians and machinists — no installation in the traditional mechanical sense applies. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent surface damage that could affect dimensional accuracy. Clean the gage pin and the bore or measuring device contact surfaces before use to avoid false readings caused by debris or contamination. Do not force the gage into a bore, as this can damage the gage surface and compromise its tolerance class.
