The VERMONT GAGE 361137510 is a single-ring Go threaded ring gage designed to verify external thread conformance on 7/16-20 UNF fasteners and threaded components. Manufactured from tool steel to NIST standards, this gage checks that a Class 2A externally threaded part falls within the acceptable tolerance range for fit and function. A Go gage must pass completely over the threaded workpiece — if it does not, the part is out of tolerance on the high side and must be rejected. Machinists, quality inspectors, and tool room technicians use this gage as part of standard thread verification procedures on the production floor or in the inspection lab.
This gage is suited for incoming inspection, in-process quality control, and final inspection of 7/16-20 UNF externally threaded parts in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, and general industrial applications. Class 2A is the most common tolerance class for general-purpose inch-series fasteners, making this gage widely applicable across high-volume production environments where thread fit must be validated to drawing requirements before assembly.
Designed for inspection of externally threaded fasteners and components with a 7/16-20 UNF thread form and a Class 2A tolerance classification.
Threaded ring gages are used by quality inspectors and machining technicians — no power source or mechanical installation is required. Handle the gage carefully to avoid dropping or impact damage, which can alter calibration. Store the gage in a protective case away from coolants, chips, and abrasive debris. Periodic recalibration against NIST-traceable masters is recommended to maintain measurement accuracy over time.
