The VERMONT GAGE 301000000 is a Taperlock Thread Plug Gage in the NoGo (Minus) configuration, designed to inspect the pitch diameter and functional thread of internal threaded workpieces. Built to the 3/4-20 UNEF 2B thread specification, this gage member mounts in a standard Taperlock handle and is used to verify that an internally threaded feature does not exceed the maximum material condition. Each gage ships with a certificate of accuracy and is marked with nominal size, threads per inch, class of fit, and pitch diameters. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool room professionals rely on this type of gage for go/no-go thread inspection in production and receiving inspection environments.
This NoGo plug gage member is suited for inspecting 3/4-20 UNEF 2B internal threads in both production floor and quality lab settings. The Taperlock design allows the member to be swapped in and out of a compatible Taperlock handle without replacing the full assembly. Typical applications include inspection of threaded bores in machined components across aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing. Custom marking of one additional line up to 25 characters is available at no added cost, which supports part traceability and inspection documentation requirements.
Designed for use with standard Taperlock gage handles sized for this member diameter. Intended for inspection of 3/4-20 UNEF 2B internally threaded components where NoGo verification is required.
Thread plug gage members are installed and removed by qualified metrology or tool room personnel using a Taperlock handle driver. Ensure the handle and member are clean and free of debris before assembly to avoid measurement error. Do not force the NoGo member into a conforming thread; resistance during insertion is the expected result of a passing inspection. Follow ASME B1.2 or applicable gauge calibration standards for periodic reverification intervals.
