The VERMONT GAGE 301000000 is a Go (Plus) Taperlock thread plug gage designed to inspect the pitch diameter and functional thread of internally threaded products. Built to the 9/16-18 UNF thread form, this gage covers Class 2B and 3B fit classifications. The taperlock design provides a secure, repeatable hold in a standard gage handle, allowing machinists and quality inspectors to perform fast, reliable go/no-go inspections. Each gage ships with a certificate of accuracy and is permanently marked with nominal size, threads per inch, class of fit, and pitch diameter values.

Installation Notes

Thread plug gages are installed by a metrology technician or machinist into a compatible taperlock gage handle before use. No power source is required. The gage and the part being inspected should be at a stable ambient temperature, typically 68 degrees F, to avoid thermal expansion errors. Do not force the gage through a threaded part; if the Go member does not pass freely, the thread is out of tolerance.
