The VERMONT GAGE 301000000 is a Taperlock-style No Go thread plug gage designed for checking internal threads to a 3B class of fit. Built to Class X tolerances per ANSI B1.2, it delivers a tolerance of plus or minus 0.0001 inches, making it appropriate for precision thread verification in demanding production and quality control environments. The tapered shank presses into a standard handle with a matching hole size, giving technicians a secure, repeatable grip during gaging operations. This gage is manufactured in the United States and ships with a Certification of Accuracy.
This gage is sized for a 1-1/2 inch nominal diameter with 18 threads per inch in the UNEF thread form, covering a common thread specification found in precision mechanical assemblies. It is used by quality control inspectors, machinists, and metrology technicians in industries where tight thread tolerances are critical, including aerospace, medical device manufacturing, automotive, and oil and gas. The No Go style confirms that a threaded hole has not been cut oversize - if the gage enters the hole, the part is out of tolerance and should be rejected.
Designed for gaging internal threads with a 1-1/2 inch nominal size, 18 threads per inch, UNEF thread form, and 3B class of fit. Compatible with standard Taperlock-style gage handles sized for this shank diameter.
Thread plug gages are handled by trained metrology technicians or quality control personnel, not installed in the field sense - no power source or shutoff is required. Press the tapered shank firmly into a compatible Taperlock handle before use; do not force the gage into a threaded hole that shows resistance, as this can damage the gage or alter its calibration. Store gages in a protective case away from humidity and debris to maintain Class X accuracy, and re-verify calibration at intervals consistent with your facility's quality management system.
