The VERMONT GAGE 112420830 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage machined from steel and used to perform NoGo inspection checks on precision bored holes, machined features, and other critical dimensions. It measures a nominal diameter of 20.83 mm with a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, meeting Class ZZ minus standards for inspection-grade gaging. At 2 inches in overall length, it fits comfortably in a standard pin gage handle. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy that carries NIST traceability, confirming the gage has been verified against a national standard. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool-room personnel use this gage in production inspection, incoming inspection, and calibration lab environments.
This gage is suited for NoGo inspection work where a hole or bore must be confirmed to fall within its upper tolerance limit. It is also compatible with the setup and verification of set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a traceable reference. Typical applications include machine shop floor inspection, first-article inspection, and SPC sampling programs in both job-shop and production environments. The steel construction and 10 micro surface finish support consistent, repeatable gaging results across high-cycle use.
Designed for NoGo inspection of features at 20.83 mm nominal diameter and for use with set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a Class ZZ traceable reference pin.
Insert the pin gage into a standard pin gage handle before use. Clean the gage and the feature being checked with a lint-free cloth to remove oils and debris that can affect measurement accuracy. Do not force the gage into a bore; resistance indicates the feature is at or below the NoGo limit, which is the intended result. Store in a protective case away from magnetic fields and temperature extremes to maintain dimensional stability.
