The VERMONT GAGE 112320490 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precision dimensional inspection of bored holes and machined features. Built from tool steel with a 10 micro coating finish, this plug gage holds a tolerance of 0.005 mm, making it suitable for Go inspection applications where tight dimensional verification is required. With an overall length of 2.0000 inches and a nominal diameter of 20.49 mm, it is a compact, single-end gage intended for use by machinists, quality control technicians, and metrology professionals. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST standards, conforming to ASME B89.1.
This plug gage is used in production and inspection environments where bore diameter verification is performed against a known Go limit. Typical applications include checking machined bores on CNC-turned or milled components, calibrating and verifying the setup of micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices, and supporting in-process or final inspection routines. It is appropriate for both shop-floor use and controlled metrology lab environments in light manufacturing, toolroom, and precision machining settings.
Designed as an OEM-style Go plug gage for use with standard gage handle sets; suitable for Go inspection of 20.49 mm nominal diameter bores and for use with micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices as stated by the manufacturer.
Plug gages are typically handled and deployed by quality control technicians or machinists in accordance with shop inspection procedures. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent corrosion and surface damage. Clean the gage and bore thoroughly before use; never force the gage into a hole, as this can damage both the gage and the workpiece. Follow your facility metrology procedures and ASME B89.1 guidelines for gage handling, storage, and recalibration intervals.
