The VERMONT GAGE 112319750 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precise bore and hole diameter inspection. Manufactured from tool steel, this plug gage measures a nominal diameter of 19.75 mm with a tolerance of 0.005 mm, and carries a 10 microinch surface finish. It is used in Go inspection applications to verify that a hole or bore falls within the acceptable lower limit of a tolerance range. Dimensional accuracy is supported by a Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability, making it suitable for use in calibrated inspection environments. Machinists, quality technicians, and metrology professionals are the primary users.
This plug gage is suited for incoming inspection, in-process quality control, and final inspection routines in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and tool rooms. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices where a traceable reference standard is required. The 19.75 mm diameter addresses metric-dimensioned work typical in aerospace, automotive, and general precision machining. Overall length is 2.0000 inches, allowing comfortable single-hand use in standard gage handle setups.
Designed as an OEM-style Go plug gage for use with standard gage handle assemblies accommodating 19.75 mm diameter gage members, and compatible with micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a traceable reference standard.
Plug gages are handled and applied by quality technicians and machinists following shop metrology procedures. Before use, clean the gage and the workpiece bore thoroughly to remove chips, coolant, and debris that could affect readings or damage the gage surface. Never force a Go gage into a hole; apply light, consistent hand pressure only. Store the gage in its protective case and away from direct contact with other tools to preserve the precision ground surface.
