The VERMONT GAGE 112216560 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage machined from steel and used to perform NoGo-side dimensional inspection of bored, reamed, or drilled holes. The gage measures a nominal diameter of 16.56 mm with a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, placing it squarely in Class ZZ specification for minus-tolerance gages. A Certificate of Accuracy with NIST Traceability is included, supporting quality-system documentation requirements in production and inspection environments. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool-room professionals use pin gages of this type to verify hole sizes during in-process and final inspection workflows.
This plug pin gage is designed for NoGo inspection applications where confirming that a hole has not been bored oversize is critical to assembly fit and function. It is also suited for setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other comparative measuring devices. The overall length of 2 inches makes it easy to handle in bench-inspection and in-fixture use. It is appropriate for use in light manufacturing, precision machining shops, aerospace subcontracting, and any facility requiring traceable, repeatable hole-inspection gaging at the 16.56 mm nominal size.
Designed for NoGo hole inspection at 16.56 mm nominal diameter and for use as a setting reference with micrometers, verniers, and other comparative measuring instruments requiring a Class ZZ minus-tolerance pin reference.
Pin gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists - no installation in a mechanical system is required. Clean the gage and the workpiece hole with a lint-free cloth before use to prevent debris from affecting the measurement or scratching the gage surface. Never force a pin gage into a hole; light hand pressure only. Store the gage in its case when not in use to protect the finish and preserve dimensional accuracy.
