The VERMONT GAGE 112206700 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage machined from steel and used to perform NoGo inspection on bored, drilled, or reamed holes. Measuring 6.70 mm in diameter with a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, this pin gage gives metrology technicians and quality inspectors a reliable go/no-go reference for verifying hole sizes to tight dimensional standards. The 10 microfinish surface coating reduces wear and maintains accuracy over repeated use. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy backed by NIST traceability, making it suitable for use in calibrated inspection environments.
This pin gage is used in dimensional inspection applications across manufacturing, machining, and quality control settings. It is appropriate for both production floor checks and tool room inspection. Typical applications include verifying bore diameters on machined components and setting or checking micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. The Class ZZ Minus designation means the gage is ground to the minus side of the tolerance, making it correct for NoGo inspection use where the pin must not pass through an acceptable hole.
Designed for use with standard pin gage handles and gage sets in dimensional inspection of 6.70 mm nominal bore diameters. Also suitable for setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and comparable measuring instruments.
Pin gages are handled by metrology technicians and quality inspectors and require no power-down procedure. Store in a clean, dry environment away from temperature extremes to prevent thermal expansion errors. Handle with clean cotton gloves or a lint-free cloth to avoid surface contamination that can affect measurement accuracy. Do not force the gage through a hole - improper use can damage the gage surface and invalidate NIST-traceable calibration.
