The VERMONT GAGE 112122280 is a Class ZZ Plus cylindrical plug gage with a 22.28 mm diameter, designed for go inspection of machined bores and holes. Built from tool steel with a 10 microfinish surface, it delivers consistent, repeatable measurement results in demanding shop environments. Tolerance is 0.00508 mm, making it appropriate for precision quality control work. Each gage ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, supporting documentation requirements in calibrated inspection programs. Machinists, quality technicians, and metrology professionals use this type of gage as a fast, reliable pass-fail check during production runs.
This plug gage is used in go inspection applications where a bore or hole must be confirmed to have reached minimum acceptable diameter. It is also suited for setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. Typical deployment is on the shop floor, in inspection rooms, or at incoming quality control stations. The 2.0 inch overall length provides a comfortable grip and adequate reach for standard workpiece geometries encountered in general machining and manufacturing operations.
Designed as an OEM-style plug gage for go inspection of bores nominally sized at 22.28 mm; also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other calibrated measuring devices per ASME B89.1.
Plug gages are handled and applied by quality technicians or machinists and do not require power or mechanical installation. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent surface damage and maintain calibration integrity. Clean the gage and the workpiece bore with a lint-free cloth before inspection to prevent debris from affecting readings. Avoid dropping or impacting the gage, as tool steel gages can sustain damage that shifts the effective diameter outside tolerance.
