The VERMONT GAGE 112104680 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel for dimensional inspection of bored holes and internal features. It is designed for go inspection applications and provides a fast, repeatable method for verifying that a hole or bore falls within an acceptable tolerance. The gage measures 4.68 mm in diameter with a tolerance of 0.005 mm, and the precision-ground surface carries a 10 microfinish rating. Overall length is 2.0000 inches. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy that includes NIST traceability, making it suitable for calibrated inspection environments.
This plug gage is used in manufacturing, machine shop, and quality control settings where hole diameter must be confirmed to tight tolerances. Typical applications include go inspection of drilled, reamed, or bored holes, as well as setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. The Class ZZ Plus tolerance classification makes it appropriate for production-level inspection rather than master or reference gage applications. It is commonly used by machinists, quality technicians, and tool and die professionals working to ASME dimensional standards.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production inspection plug gage for use with standard gage handle sets; also used directly to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices as noted in the product specifications.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists and do not require power or mechanical installation. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent surface damage and corrosion. Clean the gage surface before each use to remove oils, chips, or debris that could affect the measurement. Handle with care to avoid dropping, as impact damage will compromise the tolerance class and require recalibration.
