The VERMONT GAGE 111407650 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage machined to a 0.0765-inch nominal diameter for NoGo inspection applications. Pin gages in the Class ZZ Minus tolerance grade are ground and finished to a 10 microfinish surface, holding a bilateral tolerance of 0.0002 inches on the minus side of nominal. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy carrying NIST traceability, confirming that the gage has been measured and documented against a national standard. Overall length is 2 inches. The steel construction provides the hardness and dimensional stability required for repeated contact gauging in a production or quality-control environment.
This pin gage is suited for NoGo hole inspection on machined parts, castings, and fabricated components where bore diameter must be held within a defined tolerance band. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, vernier calipers, and other dimensional measuring instruments. Typical applications include incoming inspection, in-process gauging on the shop floor, and final quality audit in manufacturing facilities. Machinists, quality technicians, and metrology personnel use Class ZZ gages where cost-effective inspection tooling is appropriate and the tighter tolerances of Class Z or ZZ Plus are not required.
Designed for use as a NoGo inspection pin and for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a 0.0765-inch reference diameter.
Pin gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists; no permanent installation is required. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled when not in use to prevent corrosion on the steel surface. Never force a pin gage into a hole that offers resistance, as this can damage the gage or the workpiece bore. Store individually or in a padded gage block case to protect the ground surface from nicks and burrs.
