The VERMONT GAGE 111332850 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel and designed for go-type dimensional inspection of bored holes, reamed features, and other cylindrical workpiece tolerances. It measures at a nominal diameter of 0.3285 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for verifying that a feature falls within its acceptable size limit. The gage carries a 10 microinch finish on the gaging surface. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, supporting quality documentation requirements in production and inspection environments. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool-room professionals are the primary users.
This plug gage is used in go-inspection applications to confirm that a hole or bore is not undersized. It also serves as a reference standard for setting and checking micrometers, verniers, dial bore gages, and other measuring instruments requiring a known diameter. Typical installation environments include machine shops, production inspection stations, and quality labs where ASME B89.1 dimensional standards govern measurement practice. The gage is suited for both high-volume production checks and low-volume precision work where traceability is required.
Designed for go-type inspection of features at or near 0.3285 inches nominal diameter, and for use as a setting reference with micrometers, verniers, and other calibrated measuring devices requiring a traceable master.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists; no installation in a mechanical system is required. Prior to use, clean the gage and the workpiece bore with a lint-free cloth to remove chips, oil, and debris that could affect the measurement. Apply light gaging oil if repeated insertion is needed to reduce wear on the gage surface. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent corrosion and accidental damage to the precision ground surface.
