The VERMONT GAGE 111244100 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage machined from steel and used to perform NoGo inspection on bored, drilled, or reamed holes. It measures 0.4410 inches in diameter with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suited for moderate-precision go/no-go gauging applications. At 2 inches in overall length, the gage is compact enough for bench use and handheld inspection routines. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, supporting quality documentation requirements in production and inspection environments. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and quality control inspectors are the primary users of this type of gage.
This plug pin gage is intended for NoGo inspection tasks where a hole must be verified as within its upper tolerance limit. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other hand measuring devices. The Class ZZ designation places it in a general-purpose tolerance class, appropriate for inspection of commercial-grade workpieces rather than high-precision gauge-block-level work. Typical environments include machine shops, manufacturing floors, and inspection departments handling mid-volume production runs.
Designed for NoGo hole inspection and for setting micrometers, verniers, and other hand measuring devices in general-purpose machining and quality control applications.
Plug pin gages are handled and used by machinists and quality technicians — no power tools or utilities need to be de-energized before use. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled when stored to prevent corrosion on the steel surface. Do not force the gage into a hole; if resistance is felt during a NoGo check, the hole is within tolerance and the gage should be withdrawn without applying additional pressure. Store with the Certificate of Accuracy for traceability documentation purposes.
