The VERMONT GAGE 111236300 is a Class ZZ minus plug pin gage with a 0.3630-inch nominal diameter, designed for NoGo inspection applications in quality control and dimensional verification work. Manufactured from steel with a 10 microfinish surface coating, this pin gage delivers a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for checking hole diameters, setting micrometers, and calibrating verniers and other precision measuring devices. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability, supporting documented quality programs. Machinists, quality technicians, and metrology professionals use this gage as part of go/nogo inspection routines on production floors and in inspection labs.
This pin gage is used wherever precise hole diameter verification is required. It is well-suited for incoming inspection, in-process quality checks, and final inspection in manufacturing environments. The NoGo designation means this gage represents the maximum allowable limit of a tolerance zone and should not enter a conforming hole. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, vernier calipers, and other variable measuring instruments requiring a known reference diameter of 0.3630 inches.
Designed as an OEM-style precision reference gage for use with standard plug gage handles and collets accepting 0.3630-inch diameter pin gages, and compatible with any measuring instrument requiring a NIST-traceable reference diameter in that size range.
Pin gages should be handled with clean cotton gloves or lint-free cloth to prevent corrosion from skin oils. Insert the gage into the inspection hole with light, axial force only — never force a pin gage under lateral load or use it as a prying tool. Store in the original case or a clean, dry gage block tray away from chips and abrasives. Periodic re-calibration against NIST-traceable standards is recommended per your facility quality plan.
