The VERMONT GAGE 111207700 is a Class ZZ minus tolerance plug pin gage used to perform NoGo inspection of precision bored holes, drilled passages, and machined features at 0.0770 inches in diameter. Built from steel with a 10 microfinish surface coating, this pin gage provides reliable go/no-go verification for machinists, quality control technicians, and toolroom professionals. At 2 inches overall length, the pin is sized for handheld use and fits standard pin gage handles. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability, confirming that the gage meets Class ZZ minus tolerances of plus or minus 0.0002 inches.
This pin gage is suited for incoming inspection, in-process quality checks, and final inspection in manufacturing environments. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a traceable reference standard. The 0.0770-inch diameter range covers small-bore features common in precision machined components, hydraulic fittings, small fastener holes, and instrument housings. Suitable for use in both job shop and production floor environments where NIST-traceable documentation is required by quality systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
Designed for use as a NoGo plug pin gage in standard pin gage handle sets and precision inspection fixtures. Also compatible for use as a setting reference for micrometers, verniers, and similar measuring devices requiring a traceable fixed-diameter standard.
Pin gages are handled by quality control technicians and precision machinists in controlled inspection environments. Store the pin in a protective case when not in use to prevent surface damage or contamination that could affect accuracy. Clean the pin and the part feature with an appropriate solvent before gaging to remove oils, chips, or debris. Never force the pin into a feature; a Class ZZ minus gage should pass or fail under light hand pressure only.
