The VERMONT GAGE 111180100 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage used for precision dimensional inspection of bored, drilled, and reamed holes. Manufactured from tool steel, it measures a nominal hole diameter of 0.801 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for tight-tolerance Go inspection work. The gage carries a 10 microinch surface finish. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, supporting quality documentation requirements in production and metrology environments. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool-room professionals use plug gages like this as a fast, repeatable method to verify hole conformance without a full measurement setup.
This plug gage is designed for Go inspection applications and is also used to calibrate and verify the accuracy of set micrometers, vernier calipers, and other measuring devices. It is well suited for use on shop floors, inspection stations, and in tool rooms where ASME B89.1 dimensional standards apply. The 0.801-inch nominal size covers a common hole diameter range found in general machining and light manufacturing. The 2.0-inch overall length provides a comfortable grip for single-hand use during routine part inspection cycles.
Designed for Go inspection of holes with a 0.801-inch nominal diameter. Also used to set and verify the accuracy of set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices where an ASME B89.1-compliant reference standard is required.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists during inspection; no permanent installation is required. Clean the gage and the workpiece bore before each use to prevent debris from affecting the reading or causing surface damage. Do not force the gage through an undersized hole, as this can damage both the gage and the part. Store the gage in its protective case away from moisture and extreme temperature changes to preserve dimensional accuracy over time.
