The VERMONT GAGE 111150300 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage manufactured from tool steel for dimensional go inspection of bored holes, machined bores, and other cylindrical features requiring close tolerance verification. It measures a nominal diameter of 0.503 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, and carries a 10 microinch surface finish. A Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability is included with each gage, supporting documentation requirements for calibrated inspection environments. This gage is used by machinists, quality technicians, and tool-and-die professionals performing in-process or final part inspection.
This plug gage is suited for go inspection applications in manufacturing and machine shop environments. It is compatible with use alongside set micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices as a reference or calibration check standard. The 2.0-inch overall length provides adequate handling clearance for most standard bore inspection setups. Typical applications include verifying drilled, reamed, or bored holes in metal components where dimensional conformance to tight tolerance is required.
Designed for go inspection use alongside set micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices as stated by the manufacturer. Suitable for any application requiring a Class ZZ Plus plug gage at 0.503 inches nominal diameter per ASME B89.1.
Handle plug gages with clean, dry hands or lint-free gloves to prevent corrosion and contamination of the gage surface. Before use, verify the gage and workpiece are at the same ambient temperature to eliminate thermal expansion errors. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use and inspect periodically for wear or damage per your facility calibration schedule. No power source or mechanical installation is required; qualified inspection personnel should follow applicable ASME B89.1 handling procedures.
