The VERMONT GAGE 111119800 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precise go-inspection of bored holes, machined features, and other critical internal dimensions. Machined from tool steel and finished to a 10 microfinish surface quality, this gage delivers a measurement diameter of 0.198 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches. It ships with a Certificate of Accuracy that carries NIST traceability, making it suitable for use in documented quality systems. Dimensional conformance is verified to ASME B89.1, the governing standard for plain plug gages. Overall length is 2.0 inches, keeping it compact and easy to handle at the bench or in the field.
This plug gage is used wherever a go-style attribute check is required on a 0.198-inch nominal bore. Typical applications include checking machined holes in production runs, validating set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices, and performing in-process or final inspection on precision components. It is equally at home in a machine shop QC department, a toolroom, or a metrology lab. The included NIST-traceable certificate supports ISO and AS quality management requirements without additional calibration steps at incoming inspection.
Designed for go-style attribute inspection of internal features with a 0.198-inch nominal diameter. Also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices requiring a traceable reference standard at this diameter.
Plug gages are handled and used by machinists, toolroom technicians, and quality inspectors — no special trade license is required, but proper metrology practice applies. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent corrosion and surface damage. Clean both the gage and the part feature before gauging to avoid false readings from chips or coolant residue. Never force a go gage through a feature; if resistance is felt, stop and verify the bore condition before proceeding.
