The VERMONT GAGE 1.3029 PLUS is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for dimensional inspection of bored holes, machined bores, and precision-toleranced openings. It measures a nominal diameter of 1.3029 inches and is used to verify whether a hole falls within acceptable GO/NO-GO tolerance limits. Class ZZ is the standard tolerance grade for fixed-limit plug gages used in general inspection work. This gage is supplied as the gage member only — the handle is sold separately and must be ordered to complete the assembly for handheld use. Licensed metrology technicians, quality control inspectors, and machining professionals are the primary users of this tool.
Class ZZ Plus plug gages are applied in production and incoming inspection environments where hole size conformance must be verified quickly and reliably. This gage is suited for use in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and precision fabrication settings where bore diameters in the 1.3029-inch range require routine dimensional verification. It is appropriate for both ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials and is commonly used alongside surface plates, gage blocks, and calibration records as part of a documented inspection process.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use Class ZZ Plus plug gage member for standard two-piece plug gage handle systems accepting members in the 1.3029-inch diameter range. Handle compatibility should be confirmed with the handle manufacturer prior to assembly.
Plug gages should be installed onto a compatible handle by a qualified metrology technician following the handle manufacturer's assembly instructions. Always clean the gage member and workpiece bore before use to prevent debris from affecting measurement accuracy or damaging the gage surface. Do not force the gage into a bore — controlled, steady insertion is required to avoid scoring the gage or the workpiece. Gages should be stored in a protective case and recalibrated at intervals consistent with your facility's documented gage control program.
