The VARGUS 80954 is a helical flute thread mill designed for cutting internal UN threads to a 6-32 specification. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiCN, it delivers consistent thread geometry in demanding materials where high tool hardness and wear resistance are required. The cutter features 4 left-hand helical flutes, a 0.1000-inch cutting diameter, a 0.4640-inch length of cut, and a 2.9920-inch overall length. With a 1/4-inch shank diameter, it mounts in standard collet or end mill holders. At 32 teeth per inch, the tool produces clean, accurate internal thread forms in a single helical pass using a CNC machining center.

This thread mill is suited for precision machining applications in metalworking environments where 6-32 internal threads are required in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The TiCN coating reduces built-up edge and extends tool life in abrasive or harder workpiece materials. It is typically used on CNC mills and machining centers capable of helical interpolation.
