The VARGUS 67751 is an indexable thread mill designed for internal threading operations in demanding machining environments. Built from solid carbide, this toolholder accepts five 3UI-style inserts held in place by screw clamping, delivering repeatable thread form accuracy across production runs. With a cutting diameter of 2.09 inches and a maximum hole depth capacity of 11.811 inches, it handles deep-bore internal threading where rigidity and coolant delivery are critical. Through-coolant capability keeps the cutting zone clear and helps extend insert life during extended passes. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing settings.
The 67751 is suited for internal threading applications on CNC milling centers and machining cells where a TMSC-D toolholder style is specified. Its right-hand cutting direction and five-flute configuration support efficient material removal in a range of workpiece materials. The 0.75-inch arbor hole diameter and 1.77-inch neck diameter define the spindle interface and clearance envelope, making it important to confirm fitment with the target machine spindle and workholding setup before programming. Typical applications include threading large-bore holes in structural components, fixtures, and heavy industrial assemblies.
Designed for use with 3UI-style indexable threading inserts with a 0.375-inch insert size in TMSC-D toolholder configurations on CNC milling machines capable of helical interpolation for internal thread milling.
Thread mills must be installed and programmed by qualified machinists familiar with helical interpolation cycles on CNC milling equipment. Confirm spindle taper, arbor diameter, and toolholder projection before setup. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts or adjusting the toolholder. Do not exceed the tool's rated maximum hole depth, and verify through-coolant pressure is within the machine and toolholder specifications before running.
