The VARGUS 67725 is an indexable thread mill designed for internal threading operations in demanding machining environments. Built from solid carbide, this toolholder accepts four 2UI-style inserts held in place by screw clamp, delivering consistent thread quality at depth. It produces right-hand internal threads with a cutting diameter of 1.22 inches and a maximum hole depth of 3.74 inches. Through-coolant capability keeps cutting zones clear and extends insert life during deep threading passes. With an overall length of 6.378 inches and a neck diameter of 1.012 inches, the 67725 is suited for CNC machining centers where rigidity and reach are both critical.
This thread mill is used in precision internal threading applications on CNC machining centers, typically in industrial manufacturing, tool and die, and production machining environments. The four-flute TMSCW toolholder style supports efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting at extended reach. It is appropriate for threading operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where through-coolant delivery is available. Machinists working in job shops or production settings will find this tool compatible with standard CNC thread milling cycles.
Designed for use with 2UI-style indexable threading inserts with a 0.25-inch insert size. Toolholder style is TMSCW. Confirm insert selection based on thread pitch and material requirements before ordering.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing inserts or mounting the toolholder. Use the appropriate torque driver for insert screw clamps to avoid over-tightening or stripping. Verify through-coolant connections are properly engaged and coolant pressure is within the machine's specified range before initiating a threading cycle.
