The VARGUS 67613 is a solid carbide indexable thread mill designed for cutting internal and external threads in a single tool setup. The body accepts one threading insert secured by a screw-clamp holding method, using a TMC-style toolholder. Through-coolant capability delivers coolant directly to the cutting zone, reducing heat buildup and improving chip evacuation during threading operations. With a cutting diameter of 0.669 inches and a maximum hole depth of 0.87 inches, the 67613 is built for precision threading in tight bores and shallow-to-mid-depth applications. The right-hand cutting direction and single-flute design support controlled thread engagement on a range of materials.
This thread mill is suited for CNC machining centers performing internal and external threading operations in production and job-shop environments. The TMC toolholder style and solid carbide construction make it appropriate for threading ferrous and non-ferrous materials where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical. The through-coolant feature is particularly useful in deep or blind-hole threading scenarios where chip packing is a concern. Machinists and CNC programmers working on precision components will find the 67613 a reliable single-insert threading solution.
Designed for use with TMC-style threading inserts with an insert size of 0.375 inches. Confirm insert style code 3 compatibility before ordering replacement inserts.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Secure the toolholder in the spindle to the machine manufacturer's specified retention torque using appropriate tooling. Verify through-coolant passages are clear and coolant pressure is within the machine tool's rated range before beginning a threading cycle. Always confirm spindle direction and programmed helix direction match the right-hand cutting specification of this tool before running a threading operation.
