The VARGUS 63364 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external ISO thread cutting on CNC lathes and threading machines. The 4ER style insert features a 60-degree included angle, a 2.0mm pitch, and a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process. TiAlN provides high heat resistance and wear resistance, making this insert well suited for threading operations on steel and ferrous alloys at elevated cutting speeds. With a 12.70mm inscribed circle and a thickness of 4.76mm, the insert seats securely in compatible 4ER toolholders. Right-hand cutting orientation is standard.

This insert is used in external ISO threading applications on CNC turning centers and manual lathes in production machining, job shop, and maintenance environments.
