The VARGUS 53643 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for cutting right-hand internal NPTF threads at 14 threads per inch. Built to insert style 3JIR, it carries a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, which improves heat resistance and extends tool life during threading operations. The insert features a 60-degree included angle, a 9.53 mm inscribed circle (3/8 inch), and a thickness of 3.60 mm. The SCB chipbreaker geometry supports consistent chip control across a wide range of workpiece materials.
