The VARGUS 52889 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external UN thread cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the VTX manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, giving it strong wear resistance and thermal stability across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert cuts at 13 threads per inch (TPI) with a 60-degree included angle, conforming to ANSI B1.1:74 standards. With an inscribed circle of 3/8 inch (9.53 mm) and a thickness of 3.60 mm, it seats in standard 3ER-style toolholders.
