The VARGUS 52362 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for cutting internal NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads on a lathe or CNC turning center. It carries an 11.5 TPI thread pitch and a 60-degree included angle, matching the standard NPT thread form. The insert features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, which improves surface hardness and heat resistance during threading operations. With a 3/8 inch (9.53 mm) inscribed circle and a thickness of 3.6 mm, it fits standard 3IR-style toolholders.
