The VARGUS 51744 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external UN thread cutting at 32 threads per inch (TPI). It features a 60-degree included angle and a TiN coating applied by PVD process, which extends cutting edge life across a wide range of workpiece materials. The insert measures 9.53 mm inscribed circle (equivalent to 3/8 inch) and 3.60 mm thick. Machinist and CNC lathe operators use this insert for producing right-hand external UN-standard threads in production and job-shop environments. The 3ER insert style seats in compatible laydown threading toolholders.
