The VARGUS 51524 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper) threading operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a TiN (titanium nitride) coating applied via PVD process, which extends tool life across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert runs at 19 threads per inch (TPI) with a 55-degree included angle, conforming to the B.S.21:1985 standard. The 3ER insert style seats in a standard laydown toolholder.
