The VARGUS 51014 is a solid carbide laydown threading insert designed for external ISO thread cutting on CNC lathes and threading machines. Built to the 3ER insert style, it cuts a standard 60-degree included angle thread at a 0.5mm pitch. The insert measures 9.53mm (3/8 inch) inscribed circle and 3.6mm thick. A PVD-applied TiN coating improves surface hardness and extends tool life across a wide range of workpiece materials. This is a right-hand insert intended for standard external threading passes. Machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments are the primary installers.

This insert is suited for external ISO thread profiles conforming to DIN 13 standards. The universal material compatibility rating covers ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S, making it usable on steel, stainless, cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, high-temp alloys, and hardened materials.
