The VARGUS 19013 is a solid carbide straight-flute internal thread mill designed for producing ISO-standard internal threads in a single helical pass. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with TiAlN for extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures, this tool handles M14x1.5 thread profiles with a 0.3898-inch cutting diameter and a 0.9449-inch length of cut. The straight-flute geometry suits rigid setups where smooth chip evacuation and consistent thread form are priorities. With an overall length of 2.8347 inches and a 0.3937-inch shank diameter, it mounts in standard toolholders on CNC machining centers. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in production or job-shop environments.
The 19013 is suited for threading operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a full M14x1.5 ISO internal thread profile is required. It is appropriate for use in vertical or horizontal machining centers with helical interpolation capability. The 1.5 mm pitch and five-flute configuration make it a practical choice for medium-production runs where thread quality and repeatability are critical. No through-spindle coolant is required, simplifying setup in machines without coolant-through toolholders.
Designed as an OEM-style thread mill for CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation, targeting M14x1.5 ISO internal thread applications.
Thread mills require a CNC machining center with helical interpolation; verify controller G-code support before programming the tool path. Secure the shank in a balanced, runout-minimized toolholder such as a collet chuck or hydraulic holder and confirm total indicator runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or inspecting the tool. Follow the machine manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for carbide thread mills in the workpiece material being cut.
