The VARGUS 11691 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CCGT series, designed for precision external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It carries an 80-degree diamond (C) shape with a positive rake geometry and a 7-degree relief angle, which reduces cutting forces and heat generation during light finishing cuts. The insert grade is V12K, ground to a G tolerance with a clearance code of C. The AF chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip evacuation on the primary workpiece material group P, covering most steel applications. Each insert weighs approximately 0.01 pounds and is sold individually.

The 11691 is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes on steel workpieces in both production shop and job-shop environments.
